Thank you for your interest in fostering a Standard Poodle through Michigan Standard Poodle Rescue. Fostering saves lives - we appreciate you! All fields are required unless otherwise noted.
The rescue covers the following:
Anything else must be preapproved before the vet appointment.
Note: Any vet care, including testing and vaccines, not approved by the rescue may not be reimbursed.
The rescue can cover up to $100 for professional grooming services if the dog requires it.
We require a poodle cut only: shaved feet, shaved face, ears left as long as possible, top-knot left long. The tail can have a sanitary shave but hair left as long as possible. Body can be left shorter for easier maintenance.
Please do not change the foster dog's name while in your home. You may change their name if/when you decide to adopt them.
In most cases fosters provide food for the foster dog. In some situations we will send a bag of food.
We require all fosters to have a martingale collar. These are available at Walmart, Meijer, and all major pet stores. You will need to have this prior to the dog coming into your care.
